A Message from Our Founders

My name is Catherine, and together with my partner Darren, I founded Amethyst Healthcare over 20 years ago.

Today, we proudly operate five homes, with a sixth joining our portfolio in 2026.

Before establishing Amethyst Healthcare, we spent considerable time exploring the models of care being used to support people with complex care requirements.  We looked closely at the environments in which people were living and, most importantly, the outcomes they were experiencing.

We believed there was a better way, and we set out to redefine care.

At the heart of our success is a resilient, creative, highly skilled and deeply compassionate team.  Their dedication enables our individuals to feel safe, explore opportunities, and to achieve the very best outcomes in their lives.

While we are proud of how far we have come, we are not complacent.  We share a clear vision and remain committed to continuous improvement, innovation and adaptation in an ever changing care landscape.

Darren and I are immensely proud of what we have built, and even prouder to lead such a talented, committed and caring team.
